It means that by allowing your dog to walk ahead of you on a walk and to disobey your commands you are allowing your dog to be the boss.
This automatically gives your dog permission to bite whomever they choose. It is so simple: IT IS ALL ABOUT WHO IS IN CHARGE.
Remember, in our "lawsuit-happy" society, having an unruly dog can be dangerous for the owner. Legal and financial consequences for the owner of an untrained dog can be devastating.
You can lose:
- Your house
- Your valuables
- Your bank account
- Even your FREEDOM

As a leading dog behavior expert, I sometimes participate in court cases involving dog issues. Take my word for it: your dog doesn't even need to be aggressive to be sued. People sue each other just because a dog pooped on their lawn or accidentally knocked them over in a non-aggressive manner.
According to dog bite laws, if a dog bites someone while the person is on public property or lawfully on private property, including the property of the owner of the dog, the owner of the dog shall be liable for any damages suffered by the person bitten, regardless of the former behavior of the dog or the owner's knowledge of aggressive behavior.
GOOD NEWS: SOLUTIONS
Remember, aggression (and all other behavior problems) are hard to develop and can be reversed if your dog has the correct structure. We recommend a program that includes:
- Physical exercise that will make your dog work and absorb physical energy.
- Mental exercise
- A dog/owner relationship which establishes your strong, confident leadership over your dog.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN AGGRESSIVE BREED
